Welcome to Hotel Komorní hurka
In close proximity to Františkovy Lázně, but also barely three kilometres from the historical city of Cheb, you will find a unique spa and wellness hotel on the very edge of the protected zone around the Komorní hůrka national nature monument, the youngest volcano in Central Europe. The hotel has become a popular destination for romantic getaways, sporting events, conferences, weekend wellness stays, and other forms of relaxation. In short, it is the ideal place to escape from the mundane.
In the original, elegant interiors of the hotel, you will be delighted by the obliging service, the high quality of food, luxurious accommodation, and complete spa care, with a unique sauna, as well as a swimming pool and whirlpool. And you will also sleep soundly in a quiet and peaceful place, where you will awake in the morning to the sound of birdsong.
Lovers of active relaxation will find just what they need. They can play tennis or other ball games on the hotel’s sports ground, which has artificial turf, or set out on the local hiking trails, many of which pass directly by the hotel. We even offer the services of a Nordic walking instructor. Cycling enthusiasts will be enchanted by the area’s unusually pristine and quiet countryside, which features numerous high-quality bike trails that follow former border-patrol routes in terrain where no one was allowed to set foot for years.
If you would rather unwind with a fishing rod in hand, you can choose from among many fishponds in the vicinity of the hotel. For example, you will find the Lžička and Miska ponds just a stone’s throw from the hotel.
Of course, when it comes to the offer of spa procedures, you can look forward to treatments using natural resources, such as peat, CO2 and herbs. In addition, you can indulge in all kinds of soothing massages, including underwater massage, and also experience carbonic baths, carbonic injections, laser treatment and magnetic therapy. You will find satisfaction in a visit to the swimming pool, with the possibility of using a Finnish sauna, a steam bath, and especially an herbal sauna. The herbal sauna is particularly unique, and thus attracts an ever-greater number of visitors to our hotel.
If you are interested in history, you mustn’t miss the opportunity to stay in the same place where Johann Wolfgang von Goethe came to discuss the origins of minerals with Count Kaspar von Sternberg.
Regardless of what brings you to our hotel, you will surely eat well, thanks to our outstanding cuisine. The hotel is one of only a few facilities of its kind involved in the Czech Special programme, which is a guarantee that you will be served exquisite Czech specialties. Within this programme, our chefs take part in national gastronomy competitions, in which they achieve very good results. High-quality spa cuisine definitely cannot exist without a large proportion of ingredients based on organic products and the principles of a healthy diet, including macrobiotic nutrition.
